Book Review & Giveaway: 10 Steps to Walking in Purpose

God never creates anything without a corresponding purpose it is meant to fulfill. – Frances Okoro

He never, ever does. And so the sooner one discovers their purpose, the better. This is especially true because ideally one’s purpose should influence the answer to the “who, what, where” questions of life – who to marry, what profession to go into, where to live, and so on.

In her new book, “10 Steps to Walking in Purpose”, Frances talks about how to find out what your purpose is and get started on fulfilling it. The book is a real delight to read. It’s interesting and instructional. The transparency with which Frances shares her story is just amazing. I believe the book is relevant to each one of God’s creation, young or old.

It’s not a very long book (its about 142 pages) but it’s jam-packed with biblical lessons and  valuable truths. Things like:

Knowing the true meaning of purpose…

Do not be mistaken; purpose begins and ends with God and any purpose that leaves God out of the equation is no purpose at all.

Finding purpose in the right place…

The world is filled with people all trying to “discover purpose” without going to the One who created them. Men and women are all trying to find themselves in themselves – exalting who they are above their maker.

Owning your brokenness, because …

Our past experiences weren’t given to us for us to sweep them under the carpet; they are all used in the good works that God has prepared for us before the beginning of time.

And forgetting distractions …

We must master the art of setting our faces like a flint, squarely dedicated to accomplishing what God has placed in our hearts to do, otherwise we will end up driving through life aimlessly, getting nothing of eternal value done.

All the quotes above are from the book. So I’m sure it’s not hard to believe that I’m not just saying when I say that the book is easy to read. I don’t know how Ms Okoro did it but the whole time I was reading the book, I felt like I was having a conversation with the author. That was something I especially liked.

I’d say without hesitation that “10 Steps to Walking in Purpose” is worth every minute spent reading it. The book is already in some book stores but Frances says that you can get a free e-copy of the book. You just need to follow the easy steps below:
